Small Groups
What You Can Expect:
Why Small Groups?
Chi Alpha (nationally and at the University of Wyoming) exists to reconcile students to Christ, equipping them through Spirit-Filled communities of prayer, worship, fellowship, discipleship, and mission to transform the university, the marketplace, and the world. We believe that the best way to facilitate such a deep and unified community is through the blended use of large group meetings, small group meetings, and one-on-one discipleship.
When we observe the walk of Jesus Christ, we see that He ministered and preached to hundreds, but He consistently spent the majority of His time with the twelve and was even more intentional with three of those twelve. So, in observing the Master's method, we see that while preaching and teaching were important, the most significant work He did was with His small group, pouring into their lives and living with them more intentionally than anyone else - and from those twelve, the early Church was born and spread across the world. This is our "why" for small groups - because Jesus did it, because it is what He instructed the disciples to do, and because it's effective.

Small Groups are where community gets real - they offer a place of fellowship and support in living life and seeking faith. You can expect to be welcomed by a group of people from different faith and cultural backgrounds into a community that really just wants to do life with you and dig deep into meaningful conversation. Whether you have expressed faith in Jesus Christ or not, you are still welcome to join any of our groups as they engage in biblical dialogue with the goal of inviting individuals to engage and grow in faith and as people.
Groups meet at different times and locations throughout the week - make sure to message us below so we can help connect you to one!
