Welcome to UW
class of 2026!

We're so excited you're here! As you get settled into dorm life and eating at Washakie, we hope we can help you ease into college life by showing you the great parts of living in Laramie.

Basically, that's the people. Life is always better with friends, and we want to invite you to meet other UW cowgirls and cowboys at our community house at 1412 Grand Ave. It's just across from White Hall. We'll be there a lot during the first week of classes. Hope to see you there!

We will support those who have gone.

We send students to those in need.

We pray for those who go.

We invite those who are here.

What is Chi Alpha?

Chi Alpha is a network of Christian student ministries that are on campuses all over the United States and throughout the world. The first Chi Alpha group was founded in 1953 at the Missouri State University, and has grown exponentially ever since. Today, we are on 312 campuses and are comprised of about 28,000 students who are passionate for Christ and His kingdom.

Who runs this show?

"Whatever the LORD pleases, He does,
In heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps."

Psalm 135:6

Well, Jesus Christ runs our show. Thankfully, He decides to partner with us on the University of Wyoming to reach all who will come. Our Campus Pastor Derik Buescher has been on this campus for 13 years now. We believe in his leadership along with the staff members of our campus ministry. The student leaders also play a large role in our success. Click below to find out more about our leadership.
